To determine if a Thetford C400 cassette toilet is left-hand or right-hand, sit on the toilet. If the cassette is removed from your left hand side, it's a left-hand model. If removed from your right, it's a right-hand model. The only difference between the left and right-hand models is the position of the marker arrows on the slide assembly.

The orientation of the cassette toilet, whether left or right-hand, refers to the side from which the cassette waste tank is accessed when sitting on the toilet. This is determined by the direction the cassette slides out. The left-hand and right-hand models have different mounting mechanisms and slide assemblies, but the core functionality remains the same.
