Door Latch extender

Sorry, but very disappointed in this product which is nowhere long enough to hold the caravan door in a ninety degree angle from the side of the caravan to allow the window behind to be opened. It is a fail.

The main product image does show the full extension of the door latch extender at 280mm. As you mentioned, the door latch extender is not designed to open the door to a full 90º. Every caravan is different when it comes to their door and window positions and RSG recommend to check that their 280mm product will provide the desired angle before purchasing

VERY HELPFUL GADGET

It’s part metal and part plastic. I guess the plastic allows it to flex with any gusts of wind. Was easy to install. Now I can have my window open and my window protector/cover won’t get smashed should my door swing out too far with unexpected breezes (as was happening prior to this purchase). Very glad I bought this. BONUS THAT IT’S MADE IN AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘

The Door Latch is able to attach to your existing door latch and adjust to several lengths to allow for different degrees of window openings. There is a ring included to act as a spacer for larger door latches.

BUT because your door is open, the window directly behind can’t be!

Or during those days when you’re wanting to catch all the breezes? Or open the kitchen window whilst cooking?

BUT again, the door is open so the window has to stay closed!

With the Door Latch, you can have the best of both worlds. Enjoy having the door and the window open at the same time.

The end is moulded in the same shape as your existing door latch and fits straight into the existing attachment on your van.

To install, simply undo the nut, place your existing door latch on top of the raised section and retighten nut.

The Door Latch allows for an extension of up to 280mm. Whilst this suits most caravans, it may not suit all. Please measure your angle if you are unsure.
