Description

The Dometic 9700 Power Awning is a motorised caravan awning designed to provide convenient shade and outdoor comfort while travelling or camping. Using a 12 V powered system, the awning can be extended or retracted at the push of a button via a rocker switch (sold separately), creating a shaded outdoor area quickly and with minimal effort.

The awning fabric is supplied pre-installed on the roller tube, forming the main awning assembly. It is designed to pair with compatible telescopic hardware arms (sold separately) which support the awning and allow for height and pitch adjustment when in use. This modular design allows components to be replaced or upgraded individually if required.

Built for touring conditions, the 9700 features durable construction and quiet motorised operation. The adjustable pitch allows the awning angle to be changed to improve shade coverage or assist with water run-off during light rain. The system is also compatible with a range of accessories including curved roof rafters and anti-flap kits to improve stability and fabric tension in windy conditions.

For caravans currently fitted with the Dometic 8700 manual awning, the 9700 provides a convenient upgrade option. It uses the same mounting footprint and installation dimensions as the 8700, making it easier to replace a manual awning with a motorised version without significant modifications to the caravan wall.

Optional accessories such as extension covers, curved roof rafters, and anti-flap kits can also be fitted depending on the installation requirements.
